The Chris King hub needs no introduction.  The benchmark for premium quality for over 25 years, their hubs feature incredible precision machining and serviceability. Everything in the hub is made in house in their Portland, Oregon facility. Their patented ring-drive system offers 72 points of reliable engagement and a signature ‘buzz’ sound that has become synonymous with the Chris King brand. A set of 27.5″ wheels will weigh in around 1630g, while 29″ wheels weight about 1660g. All NOBL wheelsets come taped with valves and ready to go! Simply throw your tires on with sealant and you’re set!

    Full letter graphics encompass the entire lettered graphic including the "O" crown. The decal comes cut to size, making them easy to apply. All sets include decals for 1 wheelset + 1 extra for safe keeping.

    Spoke Options

    Heavier riders (Over 200lbs) will benefit from use of a heavier gauge spoke such as the Sapim Race. Those looking to save every possible gram and want a zero compromise build can opt for the bladed Sapim CX Ray spoke.

    Berd Retensioning Kit

    After a few months of use your Berd wheelset will need to be retensioned.
    Do you need a Berd tools kit?

    • Yes
    • No - I already have a kit, or know of someone who has these specialty tools and can retension the wheels.

    Refer to our Berd FAQ to learn more.

    • This combo will allow you to retension your Berd spokes without removing your tire.

    We use Sapim Secure Lock 7075 Alloy nipples. They are durable and corrosion resistant while saving quite a bit of rotating weight. Secure Lock ensures the wheel maintains tension without loosening or unwinding.

    • Weight of Alloy Nipples per wheel: 30g

    Valve Options

    Select your valve(s) to be included with your new wheelset.

    • NOBL valves include 1 valve & cap per wheel ordered. NOBL valves are not compatible with tire inserts.
    • Peaty's MK2 Valve kits include a matching set of 2 valves with matching spoke & core removal tool caps, and are also compatible with tire inserts!

    Your wheels come stock with a black alloy NOBL branded valve with black plastic cap. You can now upgrade to a coloured or black anodized alloy bullet-style valve cap for a relatively small fee.
     
    *Our kit is NOT compatible with most tire inserts.
