RG3 - Road and Gravel Hubs

Optimized for the unique demands of long days, rough roads, and effecient performance, the RG3 lineup builds on the heritage of P321’s mountain hubs, specialized for a road and gravel platform.

Precision Made in Canada

Project 321 hubs are now made in Canada and the machining remains top-notch. The hub bodies have a clean, angular appearance and are offered in twelve vibrant colours, with an option to mix and match hub shells, endcaps and 6-lock flanges for additional customization.

P321 has also made significant changes to help even out spoke tension, maximize torsional stiffness, lower drag and improve sealing.

Magnetic Glide Technology

Inside the hub, power is delivered through a drive ring and pawl system. Eight pawls are phased in teams of two matching up with a 72-tooth drive ring for 288 points or 1.25 degrees of engagement. The Magnetic Glide technology is a carryover from the G2 models, where the pawls are actuated by little magnets rather than springs, giving more streamlined internals. These features, in tandem with the light-contact seals, result in less drag and maintenance overall, and the oversized drive ring teeth deliver rock-solid engagement.

Versatile Rotors

Looking at the P321 G3 hubs, one of the standout new features is P321’s new 6-lock system, allowing riders to run either 6-bolt or CL rotors.

6-bolt rotors are fastened to the brake mount using a colour-matched aluminum flange and stainless steel collet. Simply remove the flange and collet, and CL rotors can be installed normally.

NOBL Approved

We’ve tested this system and are happy to report that it works seamlessly. The 6-lock system does not work with standard M5 T25 bolts, but P321 provides a supply of M4 bolts with every hub.

P321 has also tweaked their hub geometry with the G3 hubs and the spacing of the tall, angled flanges results in more even spoke tension, which they claim delivers a more torsionally stiff and strong wheel. In our mission to build wheels that are fast & true, we support these qualities!

G3 hubs are offered in 28h or 32h, boost and superboost (only black in non-boost). You can choose from HG, XD and Microspline freehubs- with compatible end caps- and rear hubs have a preload adjustment for perfect fit.
