Why We Built It
Nothing Met
Our Standard
Our Ethos Series carbon wheelsets set a new industry benchmark for performance. But when it came to hubs, specifically a lightweight Hook Flange hub, nothing on the market met the standard we needed.
So we built one.
The Ethos Ti70 was designed around two non-negotiables: a Hook Flange design for flawless Berd spoke compatibility, and a ratchet-based drive mechanism delivering the perfect balance of engagement, reliability, and serviceability.
We partnered with Erase and Berd Spokes, two brands with proven engineering pedigrees, to bring it to life. Berd provided the Hook Flange and Equal Spoke Length Technology on the hub shell. Erase designed and manufactured the rest, including a custom 70-tooth ratchet system that delivers, in our opinion, the sweet spot of engagement. To complement the elevated Ethos aesthetic, we chose a matte graphite hub finish.
* The Ethos Ti70 shares the design of the Berd Talon ESL hubs.
A ratchet-based drive mechanism for reliability, ease of service, and the ideal amount of engagement.
Matte graphite finish. Titanium freehub. 7075-T6 aerospace aluminum hub shells. Built to the same standard as the wheels it powers.
Built Different
Precision Engagement
Seventy points of engagement for precise power transfer. The 70-tooth ratchet delivers the sweet spot — fast enough that nothing feels lost, robust enough to outlast years of hard riding. Ratchet teeth are machined directly into the titanium freehub body.
Titanium Freehub Body
Precision-machined grade 5 titanium resists cassette bite and surface marking under high torque loads, ensuring effortless removal and long-term durability.
Hook Flange Design
Fast, easy, and rock-solid lacing with Berd spokes — no hub prep required. Purpose-built for Berd's Dyneema fiber construction, the Hook Flange creates a secure interface that's stronger at the joint and quicker to build.
Equal Spoke Length Technology
Hub shells engineered with varying Hook Flange widths to maintain identical spoke lengths across both sides of the wheel. Simpler builds, faster race-day repairs, and only one spoke length to carry as a spare.
Maintenance
Designed
To Be Serviced
We didn’t want riders faced with complex procedures when maintaining their hubs. The Ethos Ti70 has simple internals made from high-quality materials that are easy to service by hand or with a few common tools.
These hubs are made to last for years with the right care.
- 01
Remove the end caps and freehub. - 02
Remove the axle and hubshell bearings using a mallet, bullet tool, and bearing puller. - 03
Clean, inspect for wear and replace bearings if needed. - 04
Re-grease and reassemble.
The Best Made
From The Best
The same alloy used in aircraft structural components. Finely balanced for exceptional strength-to-weight under sustained lateral and torsional forces.
Hub Shell
The gold standard for components. Titanium’s hardness resists cassette bite. It is significantly more durable than aluminum and significantly lighter than steel.
Freehub Body
Precision-machined ratchet teeth hardened for wear and corrosion resistance. Designed to keep engaging cleanly for years.

FAQ
Yes. The Ethos Ti70 is available with an SRAM XD freehub body, compatible with SRAM Eagle AXS and all XD/XDR drivetrains. Shimano HG and Microspline options are also available.
No. The Hook Flange is specifically designed for Berd Dyneema fiber spokes and is not compatible with standard J-bend spokes. NOBL offers other hub options — reach out and we can help find the right fit.
The Ti70 is designed for straightforward servicing with common tools. Check out the service video above for a step-by-step tutorial, and all service parts are available from NOBL.
The hub shell flanges are engineered at varying widths so both drive and non-drive spokes are the same length. This simplifies building, speeds up race-day repairs, and means you only need to carry one spoke length as a spare.
The Ethos Ti70 is backed by a lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, covering hub shells, freehub body, and ratchet mechanism. Consumable items like bearings and seals are available as individual spare parts.
