DT swiss 350 DEG hubs: more for less

DT Swiss brings their DEG technology to the cult-favourite 350 lineup with the new 350 DEG, proving that you don’t have to sacrifice your budget for high-engagement hubs.

only necessary upgrades

Similar to the 240 DEG, the 350 DEG hubs are rear-only, to be paired with the current 6-bolt, J-bend DT350 front hubs. Keeping the same black-and-white aesthetic, they feature a more robust hub shell designed to accommodate the larger-diameter 72t ratchets.

Catering to trail and enduro riders, these beefier ratchets offer a more responsive, high-engagement hub that tackles climbs and technical terrain with ease.

With the addition of a new hub to the 350 lineup, we made some guidelines for choosing the optimal model for your needs:

Why go DEG?

The DEG design compromises a small amount of weight (~80g) but doubles engagement, and for less cost than the 54t ratchet engagement upgrade.

Trail and enduro riders benefit from high-engagement hubs but tend to be less selective about saving every gram possible, and that’s the niche of the DEG 350. DEG hubs are also rated for eMTB riders, as the larger ratchet teeth are more resilient to wear than the smaller teeth of the 54t ratchet upgrades.

350 DEG hubs are 6-bolt and J-bend only. We carry 32h DEG hub sets in both boost (148x12mm) and superboost (157x12mm), and 28h DEG sets only in boost. This makes them compatible with most mountain bikes and many DH bikes, and are best paired with our TR37, TR38 and TR41 rims.
Our Sinewave wheelsets with 350 DEG hubs are just $1350USD : break it down, and that’s only $5 per extra degree of engagement!

Why stick with the original DT350?

They are still the top choice for riders who prefer straight-pull spokes and want the lightest 350 hubs possible. We’ll carry these in 28h, centerlock in 148×12 boost, which makes them well suited to most XC bikes, hardtails, and adventure bikes with boost spacing. Though compatible with all NOBL mountain rims, they’re best paired with our TR32, TR33, TR35 and TR36 models.

Want 32h, J-bend hubs, but in centerlock? We’ll continue to carry those DT350s, too.
