The soon-to-be king of 24hr solo MTB Racing?
Cory Wallace tells all in the NOBL hot seat!
We were treated to a visit from NOBL athlete Cory Wallace the day after the 2025 BC Bike Race wrapped up in our hometown of Cumberland, BC – probably the only way we’d feasibly catch one of the busiest guys in bike racing!
While Cory’s favourite wheelsets were serviced at the shop to ensure they run tip-top for the second half of this year, our Athlete Rep. Tatiana caught up with Cory, digging into all sorts of topics.
Racing, redemption, & records
We dive into Cory’s 2025 race season highlights, including a podium-cracking redemption ride at Unbound Gravel XL in Kansas. We explore his obsession with 24-hour solo MTB racing, how he got hooked, and his pursuit of a record-setting 7th WEMBO World Champs title this fall. Cory also shares why he races as much as he does, the edge that sets him apart, plus recovery hacks and habits, some you’ve likely never heard before.
What’s Next?
Beyond racing, Cory takes us along on misadventures and FKTs in the Himalayas, offers hot takes on where bike racing trends are headed, and reveals what’s next for him. With an endlessly impressive career and a life lived differently than most, he shares a sprinkling of chaotic travel stories and veteran race insights that are as entertaining as they are inspiring.
Sit back and enjoy – we sure did!
Outside of social media, Cory diligently maintains a personal website with race results, trip reports, fundraising projects, and media.
Cory’s XC race Wheels
Our 30i width aggressive XC rims paired with the lightest hubs in our lineup: these DT180EXPs (MS freehub) weigh just 292g
After trying and testing different configurations, Berd spokes have become a non-negotiable for Cory on his race wheels.
