Chris’ 2021 Salsa Warbird

“When I was on the hunt for a gravel bike, the Salsa Warbird checked all the boxes. The frame is built to do a race every now and then but still relaxed enough to enjoy a pedal to the brewery too. I’d classify this as an all-round adventure bike for those who aren’t scared to put the power down when motivated.”

Wheelset

I’m riding this bike on gravel or dirt almost full time so the NOBL CX28’s work perfectly for my ride intentions. I’m able to run a nice wide tire and the D-Light spoke/rim combo feels both responsive and precise without being overly harsh which is important when one is riding single track on a fully rigid frame.

I’ve always been a fan of the i9 Torch’s engagement and sound profiles. Toss in the hot pink anodization, silver nipples and turquoise highlights on the bike frame and it’s a match made in cheese-heaven.
